I am so excited over this!

I am so excited.  My niece Jessie was over at my house and while we were cleaning up her machine, hitting an amazing estate sale and just plain relaxing and watching tv and eating fun bad for you foods.  She decided to piece her first quilt at my house!  The picture doesn's show how amazing her first quilt really is.  Although this only part of the top that is completed........... I will keep you posted for the Grand Finally and finished product.  I think she is a natural born sewer!

One of my Monsters I need to Conquer...... Can I win the fight?

This is a midarm quilting frame that I purchased (for a steal on Craigslist) with the Viking Megaquilter.  I have finally been brave enough to learn the MegaQuilter with Heidi from stitchcleveland.com located in Lakewood, Ohio (by the way she is awesome and a great teacher.....the type of teacher I definately needed.) Next step next week is I am going to war and conquering that quilting frame with MegaQuilter on it!  Wish me luck!

Quilt for Zach

This quilt was made for Zachary my son for his obsession with the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and his refusal to throw away his bedroom curtains as a child and also his wife's fear that he may try and hang them in their new bedroom.  So.... for Zachs sake I made him a throw quilt so that he could meet in the middle with Jessica....... and no fear of them being the curtain choice of their bedroom!

First Baby Blanket

This was my first baby blanket for the new addition to the Walker Family "Aleena"

And here is Aleena and her Great Uncle Wayne watching Barney (I think Aleena was too comfortable on the pillow case I made last week, with her Uncle to be bothered with Barney)

Wanting to just make something and this was the result....

I was so much wanting to make something quickly.  And this is what I made.  Was actually a gift to Wayne..... but I think I grab it from him whenever I am cold.  Was very fun to make!

One of my sewing partners..."Bella"

She loves to lay on the fabric and the sound of the sewing machine running.

First Quilt I did on my own before taking classes.......

Many mistakes were made.  And I have officially named my husband Wayne a professional seam ripper.  Much more gentle to the fabric than I would of been.  Made for my mom Michelene.  She claims she uses it all the time.

First Quilt Made in a Class in Avon

This is the first quilt that I learned in a Class in Avon.  Christmas theme.  Loved making it....... but my goal is to get out of the Traditional and become a modern quilter.  You need to start somewhere! This was a great beginning for me......... was so into it from the start!

Trying to Keep up what I have been doing constructive !

I know that I have wanted actually do this for a long time. Just a simple blog to keep my family and friends updated on the wonderful things that are going on in life. I want to promise myself that this is going to be something that puts a smile on my face. And hopefully a smile on others that I share it with.
